WWCC Main Building Acoustical Improvements - 2018-508G (3-1)

General Description: 1. The project consists of interior improvements to classrooms, corridors and some offices on the First and Second Floor of the College’s Main Building originally constructed in the early 1970’s. The improvements primarily consist of aboveceiling steel stud frame wall extensions to floor and roof deck to improve sound transfer between rooms, new acoustic panel suspended ceilings, replacement of HVAC air distribution systems and light fixtures. The floor area of rooms included in the project limits is approximately 5,000 s.f. per floor. 2. Maintain an operational existing school during construction; which includes but is not limited to safety egress pathways, security and communication systems and HVAC systems and associated controls. 3. There is no site work anticipated with this project. 4. The work includes potential regulated materials abatement, architectural, mechanical, electrical systems and all necessary and required work to complete the project as described in the contract documents. 5.
